A special place - Mandaboornap (also known as Frenchman Peak) is situated in the heart of Cape Le Grand National Park. The large cave near the summit is actually thought to have been formed by waves and underwater currents about 40 million years ago. This is when sea levels were at least 300 metres above the current level and the peaks were submerged.
